Phantyx
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android
Welcome!
Hi there!~
My name's Velrya and I'm working on Phantyx, a choice-based visual novel about hunting ghosts that blends romance, horror, and mystery.
The story
Humans and demons have shared this world for as long as anyone can remember. Their coexistence has been anything but peaceful, and many bloody wars have been fought. Then, suddenly, the demons disappeared.
It looked like everything was slowly returning to normal.
Then the ghosts appeared.
That's why Phantyx was created, a special taskforce to deal with this new threat.
You're a highly ranked ghost hunter who joined Phantyx at fourteen, following in your parents' footsteps. With eight years of experience under your belt, you're known for being quick and efficient, but most of all:
Merciless.
Because this fight is personal. After your parents were killed, you made a promise:
To keep fighting.
Until every last ghost is gone.
But what will it take to keep that promise?
About the game
This game is still under development, but currently includes 1500+ renders, over 30 animations, and about two to three hours of story content. There are currently three romanceable characters, with a total of eight planned.
The current build also features an interactive ghost hunt where you explore a haunted area to track down a dangerous ghost. You'll have to explore rooms, find clues, trigger events, and figure out how to weaken the ghost to kill it.
These hunts can be quite long, but shorter summarized versions are available. These versions skip the exploration but keep the important story content.
Content warning
This game can be very dark and contains, or is planned to contain, content such as jumpscares, blood, gore, graphic violence, and heavy themes including suicide and depression.
These scenes only appear in certain parts of the game. Censorship and skip options are available for most of these scenes.

Genuine goat potential. So excited for the future of the game
Thank you! <3
spoils ahead:
how the f*ck is ghost/demon a romance character after all she's done? playing too many mind games, being vague, forcing us to kill friend, killing friend, using them to scare us in a tiring loop and even killing us turning mc into what he hates the most and fought against for a decade! yet mc who should have reason to hate all ghosts for killing parents much less what she did is willing to beg for help and in future romance her? even the options to raise her relationship points don't make sense since he experienced her betraying him over and over again why would he ever be willing to trust her or show any kindness? only way he'd work together is till he finds a method to kill demons and betray her first chance he gets but no inner dialogue shows that. demon is flimsy switching personalities dozens of times it's painful to follow her around, btw how are demons so powerful if humans defeated them in the past? seems they have endless powers to bend reality in endless illusions and survive supernatural ghost bullets? hard to know where this will go and although it seems I'm complaining a lot this is still far better than I thought has potential to reach peak levels if first update is this good
Thanks for the feedback! Romancing Aezera is completely optional and you can choose to hate her throughout the game. The next update will also focus more on the MC's resentment toward her.
And demons work differently from ghosts, which is why the bullets didn't affect her. There's more to Aezera and how demons work that will be explored in future updates.
I'm happy you still see potential in the game! :)
You plan on making a Discord for this? and also how long you think each update cycle will be?
Yup! The discord server should be up within the next couple of days. It's hard to estimate exactly how long each update will take, but I'm aiming for somewhere between 3-6 months.
i really like it so far, the ghost hunt part was interesting, i like it but i was pretty much just exploring random rooms and hope it progresses. As for the HoneySelect models, the girls are so pretty, one of the few HS avn with amazing models imo and the animations is amazing too. Keep it up :D
Thank you, I really appreciate it! The ghost hunt is meant to focus on exploration, but I want to add a couple more hints about where to look in future hunts
Im just bored and just gave this game a try. Did not expect to love this so much. I enjoy the exploration in the ghost hunt so much. 100% would definitely recommended to play. Another avn to watch out for. I swear new avns this 2026 are so good.
Thank you so much! I put a lot of focus into the hunt and really loved making it, so I'm glad you enjoyed both it and the game :)
It's another amazing game. I really love the story and will continue to follow and support it. Keep it up!
Thank you <3
Yo. What. The. Hell. This was fantastic. I always wanted to play an horror avn but this was amazing! I can't wait no know more of what happened and i 100% succumbed to Aez :D
Thank you very much! There'll be a lot more of the story to uncover... including more of Aezera ;)
I really enjoyed this game! I downloaded it last night and completed it from start to (current) finish in a few hours. I don't play a lot of games with Quick Time Events, especially games of this genre, but I did find the QTEs fun! I also enjoyed the exploration aspect and hope to see more of that in the future! This game was definitely fun and I can see a lot of effort was put into it.
I also understand the protagonist is experienced in his work and cautious about who he meets or what he comes across, especially when ghosts are involved. I did intentionally mess up some QTEs just to see if our (currently) one and only ghost girl would do anything "fun" or "interesting" to our ghost hunter character. I also was hoping there would be some options to try to flirt with or talk down the ghost girl into being less violent in the warehouse area.
Still, this was a great game! I can't wait to play more in the next update!
Thank you so much!
I'm really glad you enjoyed the exploration and QTEs. There'll be plenty more of that in future updates. I don't feel like flirting would've worked during the hunt, given the situation. But the ghost girl's an LI, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to get closer to her as the story continues ;)
This is a strong showing out the gate, damn. Took me about 2-2.5 hours to get through what’s available and I’m very hungry for more.
Horror isn’t an element done a lot in AVNs to begin with, so this is already fairly niche, but it executes very well. The star of this first release is a ghost hunt that reminds me of the one from Stormside. If you have them enabled, the QTE are fitting for their placement, and don’t often surprise you as long as you’re paying attention and remember they’re a thing. The puzzle I’m pretty sure you can just brute force by exploring everywhere as I don’t think there were any “wrong” answers, but it still felt fun and satisfying nonetheless. Options available to turn down the gore, jump scares, screen flashes for those who need them, but I think it would seriously diminish the full experience without them.
I don’t know yet whether this is building toward a harem or not, though I suspect (and hope) it is. There are 3 LI introduced here, 2 of which already have some kind of history with the MC, the blank profile cards in the menus hint at more to come. The relationships right now feel satisfying for the player, and not rushed or forced. The ones that were already there, are at different points so while we don’t have to do the whole introduction and building from scratch, there’s plenty of room for us to grow and develop with them.
The story is interesting and paced well. The available playtime was enough to get me invested, and while the end is a slight cliffhanger, it felt like a good place to end the episode also. I was happy to see an MC who didn’t turn out to be a Gary Stu like he was set up to be in the beginning, and I didn’t find myself calling out any of his decisions for being obviously stupid and out of character for what we know about him.
Overall, lots of good things to say and while the art and animations aren’t the best out there, it’s certainly above average for a 1st release and worth your time.
Thank you so much for your detailed comment! I'm very happy you enjoyed the ghost hunt and the horror elements.
Same with the relationships. I'm glad they didn't feel forced even though some of them already had history with the MC.
Thank you again. I really appreciate it! <3
Is this Xiaomi 12S Ultra?
I’m not quite sure which phone that is
Is this AVN bradar?
This is an AVN, yes.
Oh gonne try it
dc?
I don't have a discord right now, but I'll set one up soon!
Could you clarify how the romance system works?
Will players be able to pursue a fully exclusive relationship with a single love interest from start to finish, or is the game designed around multiple simultaneous romances?
You can choose to persue only one LI, but the game's designed to be a harem game so the main focus will be on that.
tks for the reply
Absolutely phenomenal first update! I loved "the hunt" specifically, as well as the cinematography. I think this might be one of, if not the most powerful first updates out there—maybe even ranking above Eternum. However, there are a few notes I'd like to share:
SPOILER WARNING!!!
First, the color theory lagged a bit behind the rest of the visual quality. The HoneySelect models are high quality, and both the animation and cinematography were wonderful (those camera angles were actually perfect, film grade. They showed what the characters were feeling better than the writing at times), but the colors lacked emotional strength for a large portion of the update. During the final segment, I think it would have benefited from a more restricted color palette with fewer secondary or tertiary colors. Relying on a few primary colors—or even subtractive colors to symbolize things being removed from his understanding—could have better conveyed the confusion the main character was experiencing.
This ties into a larger point regarding lighting. While it was fantastic as far as the actual renders go, it lacked the emotional depth that the narrative was trying to convey. Otherwise, I think this might feature the best renders of any game I've ever played—by far surpassing every single AAA game.
Second, regrettably, I felt the writing fell behind significantly. The actual dialogue was good; it was effective, fun, playful, and felt realistic relative to the characters. However, the plot felt a bit strained at times, leaving very little groundwork for the future. For instance, the moment at the end where he is begging the demon for his life felt way out of character. It’s understandable to be terrified, but he seems to flip-flop between being a seasoned pro like Leon Kennedy and just a normal guy. The entire setting and buildup require him to be a "Leon Kennedy" type, so when he isn't, he just kind of... falls short.
This guy has been doing this for nearly a decade, yet he doesn't immediately think his house is haunted when a single light is on—despite the house not having power? He doesn't even consider the idea that the ghost or demon was playing with his mind while he was at Daphne's house, even though he doesn't remember getting ready or arriving there?
Additionally, making the entity he's hunting a demon, rather than playing with the idea that it was just a ghost far above the reported level, was an interesting pivot (though I do like the twist of him being a ghost at the end). It just feels like the universe has less room to expand in future updates now that we've already jumped to demons without giving ghosts time to breathe. Finally, some of the dialogue tried to accomplish too many things at once, leaving the characters stretched thin. You have all the time in the world to flesh these characters out, but it felt like you tried to rush it all into a single update.
The demon switching from innocent to sorrowful to sadistic to sarcastic felt a bit unusual, if this was on purpose it might be more effective to really lean into these sharp divides rather than having them all blend together.
Again, I can't stress this enough: this is easily one of the best first updates to any AVN I've ever seen, definitely top 5. Please, stick with it! The community is going to go feral for this. Keeping a consistent schedule—whether you post semi-regularly like Caribdis or opt for weekly updates (which require a lot of consistent work but keep the community calmer)—will really help.
Fantastic start, and I'm highly looking forward to the future!
Wow! Thank you so much for your extensive review! It really means a lot you took the time to share your thoughts about the game. I spent a lot of time trying to make the scenes feel more cinematic, so I'm really happy that showed.
And I appreciate your criticism too. Some of the things you mentioned were design choices, though I can see how they may not have come across as clearly in the writing as I would've liked. But that's something I can improve on in future updates. Same as with your feedback on the color, lighting and pacing.
So again, thank you for your comment. It's very motivating and helpful <3
Wow this is very solid comment. well done. i absolutely agree with you.
What are the (planned) tags for this game?
I plan on adding many of the common tags, most of which will be toggleable. The game will be a harem game and there will not be NTR.
Some of the "common" tags are ones I try to avoid. Could you be a little more specific?
I'd bet things like the basic sexual tags (-jobs, sex, anal), then maybe femdom/maledom too as that seems surprisingly common, dev already mentioned a harem, threesomes/somes in general also tend to be common occurances.
Of course! Here's some other content I have planned, which will be toggleable in the settings of the game:
Anal, Exhibitionism, Lesbian, Group sex, Lactation, Pregnancy, Virgin, Titfuck, Spanking, Sex toys, Male dom, Female dom, Ahegao, Multiple penetration (Only with the MC and two girls, one of which wearing a strap-on. Never two guys).
Anal sex?
It's not in the game right now but will be in the future ;)
does the game have chinese?
The game's only in English at the moment
